Hacia tiempo que no utilizaba este estilo de afeitado y me decidí al estar muy contento con mi Velocity One.

No me equivoque. Todo un acierto.

Calidad por donde la mires.

Al principio, después de tanto tiempo sin utilizar este tipo de afeitado, me costó adaptarme a ella.

Pero con su tacto, peso y sensación perfecta, en pocos afeitados me he acostumbrado.

Estoy utilizando la cuchillas Feather ProGuard y se adaptan espectacular. Además colocarlas y quitarlas es súper sencillo.

También quiero destacar su agarre. Increíble.

La base al igual que la brocha y la Velocity, simplemente preciosa.

A veces tan más ganas de mirarla que usarla. Una obra de arte atemporal.

El envío y recepción súper rápido. En ocasiones a tardado más un producto comprado dentro de mi país que la Essence desde Suiza.

En resumen, tanto si es la primera vez, como no, recomiendo su compra. Es un producto para toda la vida. Además de un objeto de deseo. Claro,si te lo puedes permitir.

Agradecer a Manuel, por sus rápidas respuestas cada vez que he tenido una pregunta y animarle a seguir diseñando esta clase de productos tan especiales como maravillosos.

Seguiré confiando en ellos.

It was worth waiting for it. The razor is great. Just mind that you have to pay custom. what in my case is 80 EUR. I didn’t think about it in the EFTA environment.

Premium quality and build. Setting the blade is a little tricky (easily learned), but shaving is a joy. Perfect balance in the hand with just the right amount of weight. Attack angle is easy to adjust and resultant shave is comfortably close.

I have never had good luck with a shavette-type of razor. I have suffered some of my worst cuts (really slices) with shavettes. I have never had a problem with DE and straight razors. I decided to give this razor a try after watching a review on You-Tube. The person providing the review is a religious str8 razor shaver. He stated that the Tedalus Essence was the closest thing to a str8 razor he has used. I gave it a try. It is a pricey razor and I have paid more for other razors. When I tried it for the first time, I used it as I would for any of my str8 razors. I was quite impressed. It did feel like a str8 razor. I have had many shaves with it and never cut myself. I like the razor because I can swap out blades and not need the stropping/honing os a traditional str8 razors.

Been using a Kamisori Feather DX with Super Professional blades. Didn't think it could get any better, but using the same blades in the Essence gives me my best shave ever. Closer, smoother; it's a dream. Worth the money!

This is my second razor I bought the velocity one and now the essence theirs are not just razors they are works of art absolutely lovely razors spot on

After using it for nearly two weeks, I can say that this was an awesome buy. More than anything for its ergonomics and the ability to use a variety of blades, which, that I know of no other razor on the market can do. I might be wrong, but even if I am, this an amazing product and well engineered.

I bought this after watching several videos from Barber Dave (@barberdave on YouTube). I've been shaving with straight razors and also been shaving for quite some time with a Feather DX and a Feather SR. But the Essence is so much nicer. First of all the shaving angle is very close to a straight razor so you can shave with a shallow angle. After 2 shaves I was used to it and its been a great experience. It's pretty neat that you can put any kind of blade in it, but I have found I got best results using Feather Pro or Shick Proline blades. Overall I'm very happy with it, although I'm not a big fan of the stand. It looks *really* nice when the razor is on the stand, but I found it a bit finicky to get it on and off the stand. And remember not to close the razor all the way when you leave a blade inserted, as it will touch the bar between the scales. Glad I got this amazing razor, it's been a joy using it.

The razor works wonderfully and the seams that hold the spine are almost unnoticeable, I was surprised by the strenght of the magnets which hold the razor together, the monkey tail gives a really comfortable variety of grips sitting well in the hand, the overall design is beautiful. It's expensive but worth the investment, it shaves like no other. The Tedalus team was really kind and atentive. Overall I'm really happy.

I'm adding here a couple design suggestions for future versions of the essence: I like the stand, however i think it would look slicker without those two holes in the bottom back of the handle and just having a case to store it. To avoid using rubber to stop the blade from touching the handle I'd make the handle groove narrower to hold the spine at the middle, the plastic in the pivot pin could maybe just be removed and substituted for oil instead to make it look better. At the pivot end I would adjust more the handle to the shape of the screw. I think the gap between the end of the monkey tail and the handle when unfolding could be smaller. The handle's edges could be more rounded specially at the bottom tip, however I understand the design choice here, this is just more of a matter of personal taste. These are very minor changes and I think would suit the style of your company of precision, elegance and durability, however your product is close to perfect already, so I have no complaints. You could also maybe experiment with titanium, even though from what i understand it's harder to work with it.
